Rick Perry Slays, Literally!
with a brief intro by Michael R. Burch

Jon Stewart explains why nothing Rick Perry says really matters: because he exudes machismo like an alpha male tiger in heat. At a recent debate, when a questioner pointed out that 234 people had been executed on Perry’s watch (some of whom were undoubtedly innocent), the crowd actually applauded the statistic. Stewart points out that such people don’t “get” Perry with their brains, but with their gonads. They give out raisins at Halloween, own “The Blind Side” on DVD (and probably tear up when they watch it), and yet they “thirst for blood.” So it really doesn’t matter if Perry calls Social Security a “Ponzi scheme” and talks calmly about ending the world as we know it, in the quest to reduce the federal government to the size of a gnat and let big business roam free, taking no prisoners like a T-Rex. These people are not thinking rationally, but responding emotionally to buzzwords they have been taught to either love or fear: “State rights good … federal government bad … executions good … Social Security bad … below-minimum-wage jobs good … union jobs bad ... bigotry bad … bashing gays good.”

It’s sorta like Tarzan meets the Stepford wives …
