Jared Carter Poetry Reading at the Library of Congress

It is indeed a pleasure to announce that Jared Carter, a THT Featured Poet, has been invited to read his poetry at the Library of Congress. The reading is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. on Thursday evening, December 9th, and will take place on the 6th floor of the James Madison Building. Admission is free and no tickets are required.

Jared informs us that because there are two readers (the other is Debra Magpie Earling), the program might last until 9 p.m., or thereabouts. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser will introduce both readers.

Jared, our warmest and sincerest congratulations and best wishes go with you, and as we say in these parts (Nashville), "We know you'll do us'ns and your'ns proud." Oh, and "Chalk one up for the good guys!" Michael R. Burch, editor, The HyperTexts
