Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell is a British socialite and the daughter of the late press magnate Robert Maxwell, whose body was found floating in the sea near his yacht in 1991. (The luxury yacht, the Lady Ghislaine, was named after his daughter.) She was educated at Headington School, Marlborough College and Balliol College, Oxford. She founded a successful women's club named after the original Kit-Cat Club and was a director of Oxford United FC, once owned by her father. Maxwell strongly denies allegations which have appeared in the British press and elsewhere that she acted as a procurer of young women for Jeffrey Epstein and his social circle, and in March 2011 announced her intention to sue for libel.



Virginia Roberts

Virginia Roberts charges that Jeffery Epstein paid her about $15,000 in 2001, after she first had sex with Prince Andrew. She also claims that she was recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell while she was 15, an underage teenager. Roberts first met Maxwell at Donald Trump's country club Mar-A-Lago, where her father worked, according to the Daily Mail: "She said she worked for a very wealthy gentleman called Jeffrey Epstein who was looking for a traveling masseuse and I'd get training and be paid large amounts of money." After teaching her legitimate massage techniques, according to Roberts, Maxwell continued into instructions on how to please Epstein: "She also taught me what kind of clothes to buy. His favourite was to dress me as a schoolgirl, in pigtails and little pleated skirts, and knee socks. Ghislaine sent me to a dentist to have my teeth whitened and I went for Brazilian waxes. He wanted me to look pre-pubescent." Roberts alleges that she became Epstein's "sex slave" and was forced to sleep with Prince Andrew three times from 1999 to 2002. The first rendezvous occurred inside Maxwell's London apartment. "I felt everyone was watching us," Roberts reportedly said. She was ordered by Epstein to "give the prince whatever he demanded," according to court documents. She also claimed that Epstein pimped her out to "many other powerful men, including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders." His goal was to "potentially blackmail them," she charged in court filings. She also claimed that she was forced to have sex with Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, who happens to be Epstein's lawyer. In 2008, Epstein was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and jailed for 18 months.
